I'll be updating this site after each class so that you can keep up on assignments and due dates.

At times I may ask you to post your thoughts about a certain topic on the comments forum but feel free to add comments about what we've talked about or to add any cool links you might find on the internet.

Check out the Hobbit Fan Trailer here. It's not the real trailer (so don't get too excited) but is a great teaser for the book. Just in case you were wondering about the real Hobbit movie, check out this link with info about the film set for release in 2010.

January 30th - The magic question

Faerie to Tolkien is a very special place. He has defined it through examples of sights to be seen there. Summarize Tolkien's definition
